New Communications Bill launched
SWAZILAND: The Government of Swaziland has launched a Swaziland Communications Commission Draft Bill 2009 to regulate the broadcasting sector in the country. Once the Bill becomes law, the Commission will among other things, issue licences to TV and radio broadcasters.

Newly-launched paper sued for defamationA newly-launched privately-owned newspaper, Swazi Mirror, is being sued E800 000 (approx. US $150 000) by the publisher of a rival paper, the Times of Swaziland. |
